The diagnosis is confirmed. It is a respiratory tract infection brought on by an allergic reaction of the respiratory tract. Both the upper and the lower tract are involved (i.e., everything from the nostrils to the lungs).
That part, we know of. It is the unknown that is worrying me. The doctor confirmed that he looks pale. He is still not eating or digesting anything that he eats. Last night, we managed to get 3 spoons of dinner into him, and it all came out an hour later. All of it was completely undigested. Exactly as it went inside. His eyes are puffy and he is gritting his teeth too much.
He needs extra care, bcs children with Atopic dermatitis are expecially prone to Asthma , and this is his first allergy.
There are times when i wonder why a little child has to go through all this. At other times, i am fighting other people at home to do certain things for him.
And then, i think of you - of friends in this virtual world who hear me out, send good words my way, and perhaps also a prayer or two (I strongly believe in the power of prayer), and an involuntary smile comes along.
How many times can one say, Thank you.. and yet, each time comes as heartfelt as ever, if not more.. I dont know what i would have done without you.. and my dependance on u grows... :-)
